Donny Springer has been engaged in business appraisals since 2010. He specializes in engagements for ESOP-related valuation and financial advisory services and estate and gift tax valuations. He also has experience in assisting with appraisal engagements for a variety of other purposes.
Prior to joining Columbia Financial Advisors, Inc. in 2010, Mr. Springer held various banking related positions with U.S. Bank while earning his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.
Mr. Springer is an Accredited Senior Appraiser of the American Society of Appraisers designated in Business Valuation and has completed Level I and Level II of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program administered by the CFA Institute. Mr. Springer earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Finance from Portland State University in 2009. He is a member of The ESOP Association, Membership Chair of The Northwest Chapter of The ESOP Association, previous Chapter Vice President (2014-2015) of The Northwest Chapter of The ESOP Association, a Member of The ESOP Association’s Valuation Advisory Committee and a graduate of the Portland Business Alliance’s Leadership Portland program. Mr. Springer is a frequent speaker on ESOP valuation and financial advisory matters at conferences and webinars sponsored by the National Center for Employee Ownership and The ESOP Association, as well as other groups on various appraisal topics.
Mr. Springer’s experience stems from his tenure at Columbia Financial Advisors, Inc. and his professional experience in the banking industry as well as his education at Portland State University where he studied corporate finance, investments, accounting, derivatives, and economics. His appraisal experience includes all aspects of appraisal engagements including Client Company due diligence, and valuation approaches and methodologies. His valuation experience includes appraisal engagements for a variety of purposes including ESOP transactions and annual updates and estate and gift tax.
